What it costs
The first year can cost almost nothing: a voice, a phone to record on, and free practice at home. A private teacher in Ukraine runs roughly 300–700 UAH an hour, a music school from a few hundred UAH a month, and a used acoustic guitar or keyboard 2,000–5,000 UAH. Studio recording is not needed in year one — a phone records enough.
